I create editorial for the art industry.

I’m an editor, critic, and content strategist working with publications to produce multi-channel storytelling. Currently Executive Editor at Art Basel, I have collaborated internationally with organizations including artnet News, Modern Painters, Ibraaz and Garage Magazine

The media landscape has changed radically over the last ten years.

Art magazines and publications that, a few years ago, were only gingerly dipping their toes online, have now fully embraced the Internet. Galleries, museums, and brands have taken ownership of their message and built extensive media ecosystems, often encompassing written editorial, video, and social media. Yet the impetus hasn’t changed: telling engaging stories about the art that matters.

My career has closely followed these developments.

In 2018, I joined Art Basel to launch the fair’s first content platform. Since then, I’ve worked extensively with writers, filmmakers, and the team to develop an ambitious online editorial strategy and video production unit. Today, Art Basel’s insightful articles and videos are published daily on the website’s Stories vertical. In 2022, I also initiated the French-language arm of Stories in lockstep with the launch of Art Basel’s newest fair, Paris+. Staffed with a dedicated team, it publishes original content in both French and English every week. Art Basel’s editorial platform is now fully part of the art media landscape and a key component of the company’s global presence.

In parallel with my editorial responsibilities, I’m the global lead for Art Basel’s flagship talks program, Conversations, working with independent curators in four countries to bring together today’s most inspiring cultural figures on stage during the fairs.

My current position at Art Basel is the continuation of over a decade spent developing online art media.

In 2009, I launched my first digital publication, the bilingual Catalogue, which bridged Paris and London’s art scenes. The following year, I became the first Managing Editor for Ibraaz, shaping a publication that went on to become a key critical forum on visual culture in the Middle East and North Africa. Meanwhile, at LBM, I supervised the creation and team of Artinfo’s UK branch, which covered all aspects of culture in Britain. In 2015, I was recruited to artnet news’s original team, overseeing and developing all content related to the UK and other European scenes.

I’ve written prolifically on contemporary art.

I’ve interviewed dozens of artists, including Lynda Benglis, Tino Sehgal, and Laure Prouvost, written for periodicals such as Frieze, Art Monthly, and The New York Times, and contributed essays to books and exhibition catalogues. I’m an art historian with postgraduate degrees from the Sorbonne and the Royal College of Art, a dedicated gallery-goer – and a keen gardener 🌱.
