Coline Milliard is a contemporary art specialist with over ten years' experience working at the heart of the industry: first as a writer and editor, and more recently, as a gallerist. She has collaborated extensively with periodicals including Frieze, Artsy, GARAGE Magazine, Art Monthly and Art Review, and contributed essays in books and exhibition catalogues.
From 2015 to May 2017, Coline served as Associate Director at Carroll / Fletcher gallery, working with a roster of artists including Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou-Rahme, Constant Dullaart and Christine Sun Kim. Prior to this position, she was Deputy Editor for the global newswire artnet News, for which she reported regularly on art and its markets. From 2010 to 2014, she was UK editor at LBM, overseeing UK coverage for ARTINFO and Modern Painters magazine.
In 2010, Coline curated the first retrospective of the artist Zineb Sedira, held at the [mac] Musée d’Art Contemporain in Marseille, France. The following year, she worked on the launch and development of Ibraaz, an online publishing platform focusing on contemporary visual culture in the Middle East and North Africa region.
A Frenchwoman in the UK, Coline has sought to develop links between English- and French-speaking art scenes. She conceived and was one of two founding co-editors of Catalogue, an online publication that acted as a bridge across the Channel between 2009 and 2011. She now sits on the artistic committee of Fluxus Art Projets, a Franco-British charity supported by the Institut Français in London, designed to support emerging talents in France and Britain.
